How it started

notd. wasn't born in a big boardroom. It started in a spare bedroom with a laptop, too much coffee, and the kind of life reset no one really plans for.

After being laid off from her job and coming out of a long-term relationship, our founder, Nadia Slominski, found herself asking the same question so many of us eventually ask:

"Now what?"

Weeks of job applications led nowhere. Instead of waiting for someone else to give her an opportunity, she decided to build one herself.

She didn't want to create another clothing brand chasing trends or loud graphics. She wanted to make something that reflected the way so many of us actually feel—overthinking simple conversations, questioning every text message, and somehow finding humor in the chaos of everyday life.

That's where notd. was born.

Every design starts with a thought you've probably had yourself. The kind you normally keep in your head but instantly recognize when someone else says it first.

Minimal designs. Dry humor. Conversation starters.

We're not trying to be the loudest brand in the room.

We're creating clothes that quietly say exactly what you're thinking.

Why "notd."?

Life is messy. Funny. Awkward. Unexpected.

Sometimes the best response is simply... not today.

That mindset became more than a phrase—it became a reminder that you don't have to have everything figured out. You can laugh at yourself, embrace the absurdity, and keep moving forward.

From one person to a community
